Out for another mega fun day! Visited the SPCA (sounds weird for a person like me to make a visit there yea?) with KC, px and nat. I thought KC and myself would be late, but a little piggy was the latest. :p Upon reaching SPCA, I saw Wei Guang! LOL! He can be easily recognised by his "holy" face. Well, why holy? Figure it out yourself, or ask someone who doesn't have straight hair, lol!

There was a little talk by the presenter and we followed on to a visit to the pets. Went into a cage which belongs to a dog named "Holly". I forgot it's breed, but its fur is very smooth to the touch, even smoother than spending $30 to rebond hair (from the looks, duh!). Nat visited another cage, but this time she was not very lucky. The dog tried running out from the gate, nat used her legs to block it (doing an inverted V shape, but don't think wrongly) but it was of no use, it ran out eventually. >.< I wanted to help her but when I took the first step the dog ran out, LOL!

After the visit, visited the airport with KC. (I know someone's gonna kill me when he reads this) Initial plan was to spend some time looking at aeroplanes at the airport while waiting for Howard to have our dinner at Windsor Hotel. Due to jam, the dinner was cancelled. Recalled some wonderful memories today: T1 Row 2 Check in counter, Bangkok, Jan 06 2008, TG404; T1 Row 4 Check In Counter, Kuala Lumpur, Jun 04 2008, 3K687; T2 Row 11 Check In Counter, Chiang Mai, Sept 10 2008, MI702.

Missing the dinner can be said as a blessing in disguise!
2 planes that made me very excited today. The first was 9V-SBA, the first A319 to be in service in Asia. But why so special? It's the plane that brought us back from Chiang Mai! Both of us were exhilarated when we saw it.

The next plane was.. Oh well, the A380! Now I've finally discovered a good point of the T3 viewing gallery; It gives you a nice view of Runway 20C to have a look at how jumbo jets take off and land. To my surprise, I saw SQ321 from London Heathrow Airport to Singapore on the arrivals list. According to my research, it should be an A380! Therefore, a very enthusiastic future pilot sat down at T3 viewing gallery to catch a view of the A380 landing. At about 7.02pm, our wait did not betray us.We saw the A380! Woots! That made up the troubling fact that I was unable to catch a view of the A380 on 3rd September, 2008 at T3 viewing gallery. I was "warned" not to be too excited or I'll be left alone, lol.

Since dinner was cancelled, had dinner at Popeyes and oh well, came home? :p

Since 2009 is approaching, I shall post my new year resolutions..

  1. Get weight to 80kg by February, 75kg by April, 70kg by June

  2. Fitter body

  3. Private Pilot's License (hopefully)

  4. MORE airplane models

  5. Ride on the A380

Ok.. That's my short list of resolutions, or shall I say, wishlist? Lol. :p

Success Rate of New Year's Resolutions

Recent research shows that while 52% of participants in a Resolution study were confident of success with their goals, only 12% actually achieved their goals. Men achieved their goal 22% more often when they engaged in goal setting, a system where small measurable goals are used (lose a pound a week, instead of saying "lose weight"), while women succeeded 10% more when they made their goals public and got support from their friends.

It was a REALLYYYYYYYYY fun day out with KC, CK, Erwin and Pris! Planned to go Suntec to shop for some clothes therefore we went to Just Acia to have our meal and off to shop.. ^^ Well, those 4 I mentioned would know what I'm gonna write about.. Hehe.

Alright, the whole day went off.. *fast forward* and at about 6+, we went to the Singapore Flyer. Actually, I remember that there's this flight simulator simulating a Boeing 737. Therefore, I wanted to have a check. Although hearing that the price was $155 for 30 minutes, I managed to see this Christmas student offer of $65 for 15 minutes! After a little bit of hesitation, I decided to try it.

Waited till about 7.30pm and my flight, PVT 176580 (I don't know why is the flight number so long =.=) takes off!

Do you see my name?!?! :p

Unfortunately, there was a small delay as the pilot-in-command has to visit the toilet, haha!

Pilot Daniel Tay inside the cockpit. I'll be inside a real one next time. :)

Smile! Group photo time!

This is how the cockpit looks like! It's EXACTLY the same as a 737-800 cockpit, which happens to be my most-flown plane in Flight Sim!

These are the instruments I read. Including PFD and such.. :D

Throttle panel! Includes speed brakes, throttles, engine start switches and flaps!

This might very well be my seat next time, in a real airplane!

This is the overhead panel. Now I know why pilots have height restrictions and your hands need to be long enough. I had to stretch my whole hand!

This is my PM, Pilot Monitoring while I am PF, the Pilot Flying. :)

This receptionist (shall I call him that? LOL) was a pilot at the Air Force. Had a good talk with him about PPL to CPl to ATPL frozen and unfrozen. It's a loooooong road!

I also bought myself a Boeing 777-300ER model back. it's totally nice! I'm gonna love it so much. Till then, ciaos! Tomorrow's gonna be a long day again!

A new level of aviation for myself; Found myself some brothers who are so engrossed in aviation, like me! Whats more, they can all be found in Habbo. Just within 5 minutes and I found like.. 2 or 3? That's a lot man! Now I'm thinking of my Private Pilot License again.. It's gonna be a tough journey to be an SIA Pilot man.. Well, now I've finally got the basics of commercial aviation right in flight sim. But however flight sim is only like 10-20% of what you'll get in real life. Therefore, to get the real thing you just have to be a PILOT! Hear it? P-I-L-O-T, pilot!

I'm getting darn high when it comes to aviation.. Nothing ever makes me so high! Maybe that's what I'm really meant for. But who knows, I might die in an air crash too. If that really happens, I hope to be in the air crash of history, die a more glory death, lol! Right now the deadliest air disaster is the Tenerife Disaster which took the lives of 583 people which happened at Las Palmas airport in Spain. Crash of 2 Boeing 747-200 that could be prevented... Sigh..

Oh well, enough of those. I shall wish myself a smooth journey to becoming an SIA pilot! Wish me luck!

Just reviewed my month of December; seems like my month of December is colourful but yet dull. I can't really find a word to describe it? Lol. One of the better things would be getting to know more new friends and getting closer with friends who were not very close to me? :p My clique is expanding, I guess. Well, maybe now it's not just 1 clique, it's more and more cliques! Form it any way you want... Lol.

No 2 outings are the same. Every outing is unique. Even if you go to the same place, same time with the same people, you will be seeing different people around you, wearing different clothes, different hairstyle (maybe?), different... Well, everything's different lah!!

Today is Litez's 4th birthday, but yet I don't see anyone in the celebration room. =.= Wei, all run liao is it?
Oops, seems like I forgot to post yesterday. =X Had a chilling session with all the ex eLitez yesterday. All old friends that I have not seen for a long time has come back! Brings back all those wonderful memories in 2005... Tomorrow is Litez's 4th birthday, I'll certainly be there to attend it. :p Hope the attendance tomorrow will be great.. We'll relight the Litez! Haha, getting too high le.

Counting on I've been slacking at home this whole week. Next week will be the last week of holidays. For some reasons, I'm hoping school starts earlier.. Lol. Of course, looking forward to March going to Genting with group 3!

Some events are up for next week, hope they all go on well.. Sigh..

Now I'm finally starting to watch The Little Nyonya. From my observation, the baddies outweigh the good people? Sometimes I really wish like giving those baddies a slap. =X It can accompany me throughout the holidays, I hope...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

This Christmas gonna be a bit of special for me -- I'm going back behind the nifty microphone! Thursday, 25th December, 10am-11am, HabboSoup. Remember to vote, alright.. :p Already planned out what to play.. Although I don't have any Xmas songs, LOL! How will it go? Let it slowly decide... :D

**Update at 2.10am**

7 hours and 50 mins more to my DJ session.. Haha. Actually I don't know why I chose to torture myself by choosing a slot at 10am, so early! But no choice, other slots are taken. Now just awaiting my 3pm - 5pm slot on Sunday. :D

Wednesday, December 24, 2008

Firstly, I would like to thank Desmond and Priscilla for cheering me up last night when I was darn moody. Haha, thanks man!

Well, I don't know how to say it, but the feeling's very strange. Although it has happened many times before, this time it made me pissed off for some reasons. Why? I don't know the reason too. Can I call that a "Narrow Symmetrical Distribution of Friendship"? Don't know what is a symmetrical distribution? Here's a picture.

Why do I use this to describe some friendships? You know a person, be friends with him and the friendship develops till you are very close friends in a short period of time but it drops in a short period of time again. Hmm?

I'm just expressing my own views, don't think too far. :) Ah well, tomorrow's Christmas and New Year is just a week away. I shall forgive AND forget, that's the spirit. :D

Tuesday, December 23, 2008

After a very very very very long waiting time, FsPassengers X is finally released! I been waiting for it for very long.. Just downloaded the trial version, it seems as fun as it can get with flight analysis and such. You can even order the flight attendants to play a movie, serve food and drinks and such on the plane. The feeling is totally different!

Outing tomorrow was cancelled due to... Unforeseen circumstances? Well, I don't really have a word to describe it. But maybe I'll just stay at home for the rest of my holidays lest I get aeroplanes flying at me again. :)

Now I have tons of things to do during my holidays -- Playing flight sim and hotel giant + spamming some MOBTV shows and some movies. Maybe, 3 weeks of holidays isn't even enough... :D
Now I really got to watch my health -- Been staying up late for lots of times. At least the 4th or 5th time this WEEK? :l

Now let me do a little collation.

1st time - FIFA till 6am
2nd time - Slept at 3am, not sure what I did, but FIFA if I'm not wrong
3rd time - Forgot what I did till 3.33am when I played Bowling Buddies for 7.5 hours non-stop hoping for 10 strikes in a row >.< Ended the session at 11am. Chatted on phone with jie from 5+ to 7am.
4th time - Watched Arsenal vs Liverpool match till 2am and thereafter watched an episode of Air Crash Investigations on Hindenburg Disaster.
5th time - Today? :l Played Hotel Giant all the way! LOL!

Now another shocking fact: All those happened from 18th December. It's less than one week! Omg, 1 week and I stayed up late for 5 times.. I don't really recognise myself now.. =.=
Not considered a long day, but tiring day. First things first. Went to the gym after a hiatus of 2 weeks. I can say, my physical fitness is dropping. :l Ran 800m on the threadmill and I was panting like a horse. Been long since I felt that! (ever since I lost weight)

Had a walk to JP again. Oh my, the third "high-tea" session in 2 weeks. I just noticed, the 3 sessions I went to all different cafes. Starbucks, Coffee Bean and McCafe, LOL! I don't really have anything to write today... But one news to share! I finally bought Hotel Giant 2 after wanting to play it for so long. It's fun designing your own hotel and such.. Hehe. However I'm afraid I might 三分钟热度 from the game. Will I? Only time will tell.. Lol.

Now another thing for me to get excited -- My trials at Soup, which I'm quite confident that I can pass, lol! Well, 2 years of experience isn't nothing alright.. :p From the list I guess I'm the most experienced trialist, however I'm worried about the voting part since I was MIA for so long.. >.< Ah well, hope things go on well for me.

V.S

Scores
Arsenal1 - 1
Liverpool
Van Persie (23)
Keane (41)

Daniel's Commentary

It seems like lady luck isn't shining on Arsenal today. Arsenal faced 2 major blows - Injury of Midfielder Cesc. Fabregas and Striker Emmanuel Adebayor earned himself a 2nd yellow card. A goal by Robin van Persie at the 23rd minute brought the scores to 1-0. However Comeback King Liverpool managed to get the scores back to 1-1 with a goal scored by Keane.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger did something which was unnecessary - Substituting Eboue for Nasri at the 92nd minute, just 2 minutes left in the game. Having a draw in this match would mean Arsenal will still stay in the 5th position on the leaderboard this week - losing their precious position in the top 4 to Aston Villa.
Here are the stuff I did during my holidays for the world of aviation:

  • Joined Thai Virtual Airlines

  • Play actively in Flight sim

  • Play Airline Tycoon Evolution

  • Watched Air Crash Investigations episodes

  • Watched documentaries on ATC

Saturday, December 20, 2008

This is a typical air traffic map that Air Traffic Controllers face everyday. It seems complicated but you can understand it after knowing some flight mechanics and reading more articles or watching documentaries on ATC.

Spamming series of Air Crash Investigations from Discovery Channel. It's a heart-threatening show to watch actually as it covers air crashes from minor to major ones, from the smallest aircraft to the largest Boeing 747 (A380 hasn't crashed, and I hope it doesn't).

Right now I've just finished on an episode named as Near Miss, which depicts the daily lives of Air Traffic Controllers in the New York City. The conjested New York airspace consists of 3 airports: Newark, JFK and LaGuardia. I've learnt how the airspaces above the 3 airports are being divided out. An astonishing fact: the 3 major airports are only 15 miles from each other! My mouth was left open for a while upon hearing that. ATCs in NYC would be one of the most stressful job ever to ensure that the thousands of planes approaching any of the airports would not crash into each other. I shall hence give a salute to New York City Air Traffic Controllers for the great job!

It seems like the aviation industry is something I'd really want to go for. It's an industry that never dies. The number of airplanes in the sky is expected to double in the next 15 years. By then, I'd already be a working adult at 32 years old. Who knows, I might be the Air Traffic Controller or the pilot of your flight on your first business trip? :p

I've officially certified myself a Diploma in Sleeping. The shocking fact to me was that I woke up only at 2.30pm today. It's the first time ever I'm sleeping so late! I slept at 3am+ yesterday, not considered very late, but I surely woke up very late. I'm thinking, probably the cause is the night before where I slept at 6am and woke up at 10.30am? Lol! Made me have to cancel my gym session. It's already the 2nd time! Maybe I contracted this nocturnal fever from my jie? *looks at her*

Right now I hope the terrible dream last night of me scoring only 60+ marks for my Applied Statistics Common Test wouldn't come true. It's going to be a nightmare of my life if it comes true.

May I present you..Thai Virtual Airlines. This is pilot Daniel Tay speaking. Welcome on flight TG409 from Bangkok to Singapore. You are travelling in a brand new Airbus A340-600 aircraft, the longest in the world.

Ok, some pilot possessed me in the previous paragraph, lol! I completed my first flight in TVA finally - from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Singapore Changi, TG409, A340-600. I really fell in love with the A340-600. The sleek design of the fuselage, the wonderful Roll Royces RR-Trent engines, the beautiful wings.. It looks even nicer than the A380! It's the 2nd aircraft I'd like to see with my own eyes next to the A380-800.

Alright, back to reality. Visited JP2 again, this time with Zeus. Who is Zeus? Guess yourself. When he talks, it sounds like thunder. :p Anyway, it seems like I was having a food tour around JP. Went to Lai Lai Kitchen to have their duck rice with extra rice (so unlike me =.=), Old Chang Kee to have their curry puff and last stop was Coffee Bean where I ate Tiramisu + Hot Chocolate. All of those were eaten in like, an hour? Forgot to mention that I had an aura that I'll see lin and nat there and to my surprise, I really saw them! So zun.. Hopefully my number comes out in 4D top prize tomorrow, lol!

It's gonna be a lonely weekend ahead. *hints*
Ugh, I especially hate watching shows that are introducing about good food when I'm very hungry. It makes me want to go on a mega eating spree. >.< So to whet my appetite, I shall share a delicacy that's heaven to me - Raw Oysters!

Now I'm thinking of going to Pariss International Buffet to spam some raw oysters.. Well, just pray they don't affect me too much.. You get it? :p Never mind if you don't! Lol!
This is the cockpit of my favourite aircraft! Guess what it is? :p

Look around for the answer!

It's the Airbus A340!

Thursday, December 18, 2008

Yet another day has passed.. Something happened that made me darn pissed. Never mind, just let me die. I'm just ******* anyway. Oh well, enough of those unhappy stuffs. Played tons of flight sim today. Experienced a flight from Miami International Airport to Princess Juliana International Airport. The landing was just perfect! Well, the descent rate wasn't really well done in my opinion.

Now for something interesting.. The SIA Cabin Crew Talk! Anyone?

SIA is a company I always wanted to join. Should I go for the Private Pilot's License course next year? It's the first stepping stone to become an SIA pilot - If it's ever possible? Haha. However, I don't mind being a pilot for Jetstar Asia too. Ah, I'm thinking too far I guess. But that's my dream occupation. :D Been having the ambition since young.. Being a pilot would be so cool, people would look at you in awe. :p

Piloting isn't as easy as I think. While taking the Singapore Virtual Airlines entry test, I noticed I have lots of terms that I'm still unfamiliar of. Like NDB, TOC, TOD... Well, lots of others I forgot.. Haha. Shall see how it goes.. Anyway, I've switched airlines, from Singapore Virtual Airlines to Thai Virtual Airlines. You might ask, why the switch? Isn't Singapore Airlines my favourite airline? Well, due to some problems with the software I was unable to file a Pilot's Report (PIREP). Thai Virtual is with another Virtual Airline Group, filing a PIREP is as easy as pie. :p Hope I can clock in more successful flights in my PIREP someday.. Ciao!

Fell in love with Tiger Beer. All thanks to the TV show that is introducing about Beer Crab, lol! Taste of crystal malt rocks! :D

Wednesday, December 17, 2008

Visited Singapore's latest downtown icon, the Marina Barrage today. It's interesting to see how advanced technologies enable water to be transported around and stored. Well, I don't really know how to explain as I was talking all the way when our tour guide was explaining, lol!

Anyway, visited Just Acia with KC, CK and Erwin after the visit. It has free flow ice cream and drinks for us! I ate like.. 10 - 13 scoops of ice cream in total. Their mango ice cream rocks! Not forgetting my main dish: Ginseng Chicken Soup. It's served with kimchi and broad beans - Makes me think that I'm in Korea instead of Dhoby Gahut. :p

World of Laughs - A show that accompanied me through the lonely times of holidays. Although this is already the third time I watched it, it never fails to make me laugh at funny parts. A good way to chase away Monday blues, I guess?

Monday, December 15, 2008

Ah ha, it's 11.59pm now. Just in time to post for the day. Hit town to chiong Levi's today. Well, actually only bought a pair of jeans, haha. Gang today was CK, JH and myself. While on our way to Suntec City, we came into 2 Brazilian ladies who were looking for their way to the Esplanade. Being very kind, we brought them all the way there! They are wonderful people, even wanted us to take a picture with them. :p

It feels great helping people. Hope that's how I'll get help when I visit other countries yea? CK said I have "taken up a new course today", tourism, as I was introducing the Merlion to the 2 ladies.. Lol! Well, maybe being a tour guide is what I like.. Wahaha. Back to the main point. Hit straight to the Levi's shop after arriving at Suntec. Actually, went to Topman before that. Haha. Tried on several pairs of jeans but the very first one I tried on was Levi's 522, which I intended to buy in the first place. However, it was a little tight at the thigh area and I decided to try on other series.

Levi's 508, 501 and 523 doesn't really suit me well and therefore I decided to buy Levi's 522. Took advantage of their $50 discount of trading in a pair of old jeans and paid $99.90 for my pair of jeans. This pair of jeans would go darn well with my newly bought shirt. Well, you can see me in the jeans in my Saturday post, third picture. Not the second picture with that monstrous skinnies. >.< Slacked at Starbucks for quite some time and went with JH to Marina Square intending to have Yuki Yaki. However, it was full and therefore we decided to have Hotpot Culture. My second time there and therefore I was familiar with the stuffs in there. Ah well, that's all for today. I'm completely broke now. >.<

Not forgetting, I've become "Lightning Revenant" for today. I have static-ed CK for more than 10 or 20 times despite discharging it by coming in contact with metal. Static-ed with JH for several times too. Why is my voltage so strong today? =.=

A very "detailed" report of our work in Chiangmai, on NP website.

Sunday, December 14, 2008

Time passes by so fast. NY has moved in for 3 weeks now. He'll be leaving for China tomorrow. Bon voyage k. :) Have the feeling friends are all going overseas now. KC went to Genting yesterday and NY is going to China tomorrow. Haha.. When will it be my turn to go overseas? I want to ride the A380.. Wahaha. I'm beginning to be active in Facebook now thanks to my jie, so do add me if you have yeh?

Email: yanmeng91@gmail.com

Will be off to town to buy a pair of Levi's 522 for myself. Fits me darn well, alright.. Finally, a pair of decent jeans. :) I'm sure it'll go well with the shirt I bought yesterday. Alas, not much programs next week, only Shopping Trip tomorrow and Marina Barrage visit on Wed. Anyone wanna jio me out? :p

Anyway, Happy 4th Birthday Habbo Hotel SG/MY/PH! 4 years of excellence.. And growing. :) I remember being there for the FIRST birthday celebration.. That means, I've been in Habbo for 3 years plus? Wow, time passes by real fast. :p

Anyway, the Habbosoup management called me today for an interview as a DJ. I passed it! :D After a hiatus of 1 year, I'll be working behind the microphone again, this time with 3086 songs to play. :) Will update when my session starts.. Haha. Remember to tune in alright? Then you'll hear my sexy voice on air.. Which is gone since like.. I don't know when! :p
Now, another soccer match to be anticipated..

It's a fight between The Gunners and The Comeback King! A very interesting match to be precise...

Saturday, December 13, 2008

Pardon the cam-whoreing.. Haha, but I was darn engrossed into this shirt. I find that it suits me perfectly. :D Therefore, I bought it without any hesitation. Costed $39.95, not very expensive for a shirt. :D

Anyway, went out with KC and CK with the intention of buying Adidas jerseys as we have the 20% discount from our Standard Chartered Marathon. However, both of them were unable to find a size or design to suit their likings. We initially went to The Cathay which I saw a Chelsea jersey (M size) which fits me perfectly. Since both of them were not able to find their shirts, we decided to visit another outlet at Suntec City.

Not what we expected, but we couldn't find our shirts now. Therefore, decided to go to Topshop to try on some clothes and cam whore with them, LOL! Tried on a pair of skinnies at Topshop. I didn't notice they were skinnies till I seen the words on them, LOL! I look like a monster.. =.= If you don't mind, here's the pic:

Thereafter, we went to Levis to see if any jeans are nice. I found this very nice pair..

It'd be a perfect combination with the shirt I bought lah! However, it costs $150! =.= Darn expensive! If not I'd have bought it without any hesitation! Monday shopping spree! Looking forward to it. :D
Just finished watching the video slideshow of our Chiangmai trip. The trip itself already hold lots of memories. When I was just less than 5 minutes into the video, my dad joined me in watching it. Halfway throughout, I went to have a drink of water and sat beside my dad. Like what I like to do when I was a little child, I laid on his hand. It makes me feel like a little child again. The warmth my father gives is just unable to be describe. It's family warmth. It's been so long since I did that. My father never fails to give me the warmth I want. Vice versa, he also treats me as if I was a young child while I was watching the video.

For some reasons, I feel a little bit of tears in my eyes after watching the video. Is it because I miss Chiangmai, or remembering childhood? Maybe both. The feeling is too warmth to be described. Only parents are able to provide it. It's not something your boyfriend / girlfriend can provide. I'm running out of phrases to describe the feeling, but I can only say, it's a warm feeling. :)

Friday, December 12, 2008

Another long day is gone just like that. Went out at 11.40am at first to have a haircut. It's a true nightmare, my hair sucks now. :( However KC says it don't? Lol. 见仁见智. My fringe now is completely gone, sian lah!

Anyway, 1pm was meeting time for KC and me. Initial plan was lunch at Koufu and pool at BTP. However, we changed plans last minute and had lunch at Mos Burger at IMM and went to collect my K850i. Finally, I collected it! Been so long! I miss you so much K850i! About half the day today I was using it.. The battery's dying and since I can't charge it, I'll have to find some ways.. Anyway has a Sony Ericsson phone that you don't want and wanna donate it to me? :p

Slacked around in IMM and went off to NP to meet CK and ZR. Today's BBQ was nice, but too little people went. >.< Whole group 3 went but only a few from group 1 and 2. Ah anyway, had lots of fun chatting around and such. I really enjoyed the 荡秋千 time there.. Been so long since I went on a swing. The feeling is completely great! However, I was worried the swing might break.. :p

Thursday, December 11, 2008

Don't really have a word to describe today. BF test cocked up, I'd be dam happy if I could just get a 60. Anyway, after BF test went to Kbox. Quite fun lah.. Went with KC and Elvis, a brand new combination. :p However, gayness lah, sang "Xiao Jiu Wo" with KC but the lyrics like.. =.= Sang lots of other songs as well.. Like "Dao Xiang" by Jay Chou. Remember the perfect combination of Elvis and my voice in Chu Mo? Discovered another better combination: Cai Hong by Jay Chou.

Went to JP2 for a walk after that. Design is still the same, but shops are different of course. Saw the new NYSS outlet.. Weets! No more travelling to Ngee Ann City! Well, for the last time on Sunday at least. Anyway, dinner was at Lai Lai Kitchen. For some reasons, I had a mega appetite today. After eating a plate of duck rice, I went to buy another plate. =.= Hope this doesn't last. Well, I don't get why I keep having a craving for rice nowadays. Yes, RICE. The feeling of eating rice is just great. :D

Now my shopping spree is back again, thanks to KC, lol. Visited the Japanese snack shop at JP2 and bought like, $30 worth of snacks? It ain't alot, but they are high quality snacks. I even bought the one which Doraemon likes, haha. However, it does not really appeal much to me in terms of texture and taste. But it surely tastes ok lah. Another one I love is the green tea sticks coated with chocolate. Omgness, I feel in love with it k? Haha

Definitely not the best day for me today. I shall start from the morning. Woke up at 10am today and was scheduled to go to the gym with KC. However, feeling very lazy, I smsed him and told him that I decided not to go today. Ah ha, in the end he went himself as I predicted.

Cooked myself some stuff for lunch and went out at 2.20pm to meet KC at the usual bus stop to pass him my HDD and handphone battery. Finally, getting Final Destination 1 and 2. :) Rest of the day was just staring into my screen and piloting planes around the world. Piloted a Jetstar Asia A320 today from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur and got ready for another leg from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok. However, some things screwed up in the midst of the flight.

Kbox tomorrow! <3 Finally another K session after a hiatus of 1 month. However, tomorrow brings a worry in me; Business Finance Common Test.

Ah ha, I just noticed I forgot to mention my unlucky things today.

Firstly, I banged into my own bedroom door.. =.= Maybe I contracted the banging disease from Ruby.

Secondly, I was about to cook and I moved a frying pan away from the stove. To my surprise, I saw a HUGE lizard (approx 10cm). I jumped up in shock. Sigh, I'm still unable to shake away my phobia of lizards. They are scary! I always wanted to clear my room of junks but I'm afraid that a lizard would pop up somewhere. I'm very certain there's a lizard hiding somewhere in my room as I keep hearing the noises it makes at night, makes me feel damn creepy... :(

December 07

6/12 - I started my job as a tuition teacher at a particular tuition centre in my neighbourhood. I'm reluctant to mention the centre, as it did not provide enough worker benefits and they do not give the pay on time. However, the students there were cute but noisy. Sometimes, I'd have a hard time controlling them. :)

14/12 to 16/12 - Little known fact.. Start and end of shortest...Well, I shouldn't reveal more..

January 08

6/1 to 9/1 - Bangkok Trip, onboard Thai Airways International. Initially I had lots of grumbles of not taking SIA but have since swept those away. TG404 outbound, TG411 inbound. :)

Learnt some Thai language before going and had a real fun time bargaining!

24/1 - Release of GCE O Level results. I was darn unlucky as that day I dropped my phone and the 2 metal bars dropped out and caused me to spend a couple of minutes trying to fix it while waiting for my results. I was already nervous enough about my results, but my phone added on to my nervousness.. :l

My results:

Chinese - A1
English - B3
Maths - B3
Combined Science - B3
Combined Humanities - C6
Design and Technology - D7

Not really satisfied.. Ha..

February 08

19/2 - Release of JAE posting results. I got posted into Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Logistics Management, under the Multidiscipline Engineering Division. Not my ideal course at first, but I did not regret choosing it. :) My very first choice was Business Studies at NP but I'm glad I did not get posted into it as business is really NOT my cup of tea after studying business modules in LMGT. :l

March 08

15/3 - Had one of the largest conflict with my family because of a trip to China to visit relatives. Don't really wanna reveal much. That event made me shed tears for the first and only time in 2008.. (Hope so)

April 08

9/4 - Camp Piak II briefing. Got to know that nat and myself were in the same class while lin is in another class. At the same time, a fellow 4e5-nian, Kai Chung (KC) is also in our MDE Division.

14/4 - First day of school. Went with KC to school and met lin and nat at the bus stop. A very complicated feeling, but finally everything got settled down. Attented BIZCA, ITL and Maths. Heh, good memory eh.. :l The very first classroom I stepped into in NP is 50-03-10, Business Computing Applications.

28/4 - KC's birthday. We were not very close that time as we only really got to keep close contact for 2 weeks. Therefore, the birthday celebration was simple with a meal at Nihon Mura. I will still remember the $15 GST and Service Charge, LOL! Not forgetting, I don't want to go home incident...

May 08

2/5 to 3/5 - Nat's birthday celebration. I guess I'm the only one who attended both her celebrations? The one on 2nd was at Five Star Chicken Rice with PX, Deph and Pam. On the actual day, 3rd May, we went to Fish & Co at Bugis to celebrate for her. I remembered myself having the Seafood Platter.. Heh. Unlucky thing is, I fainted when I got home due to some unknown reasons.

31/5 - KC, are you a gay?! <-- You remember this? I guess you do. :p
Disclaimer: He's not one! LOL

June 08

4/6 - My very first solo flight of my life, from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur on Jetstar Asia 3K 687, Seat 10A, departing on 3.05pm local time, runway 20C. Nat, Pam and Deph sent me to the airport. It feels good to be on a short flight on my own, hope to have someone special next to me next time... :p

6/6 - My second solo flight, from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, Jetstar Asia 3K 688, Seat 13A (exit row). Initially I planned to book a seat on Singapore Airlines Business Class, but I felt it's a waste of money to travel in the Business Class in such a short flight, therefore I had a change of plans and took Jetstar Asia back instead.

30/6 - Sotong sotong.. Someone revealed it to me today. :)

July 08

11/7 - My 17th birthday! Initially I guessed they planned a sabotage for me as I was told to bring extra clothes for that day. However, I reacted quickly and flipped the tables over, therefore nothing happened to me. :p Anyway on this day, someone got a kidnap call.. Lol.

16/7 - Thanks to Mr. KC, I started my intensive pool lessons on this day. BWC Century Pool table 5.. :)

30/7 - Payment for Chiangmai trip. That time, I did not know what we're going to do in Chiangmai, just blindly following KC, lin and nat there for some fun. However, it turned out to be very very meaningful!

August 08

1/8 - Foot long sandwich at Subway.. Ha, you remember it? $8.50 gone just because of ONE sandwich. However, lasted me through till dinner. Hah. Not as suay as spending $11.40.. :p

5/8 - Change of name to Daniel from the old name.. Shouldn't reveal what it is, but you can try digging. :p

7/8 - Vaccination at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Got to know 2 friends - CK and ZR there. They are also going to the Chiangmai trip and also in the same group as KC, me, lin and nat. At the same time, it's the last day of my Aerobics Class!

17/8 - My very first time baking cupcakes.. :D

20/8 - First time dyeing my hair, bought Gatsby Clear Brown dye. Some peeps were completely shocked when they saw me the next day, ha.

26/8 - Chiangmai Pre-Trip activities no.1 - Trekking from Mount Faber to Vivocity.

27/8 - Chiangmai Pre-Trip activities no.2 - Community Service at Grace Orchard School.

29/8 - Writing Workshop, which made me miss the Teacher's Day Celebration at HYSS.

Date unknown - Found out secrets of CCJ.

September 08

3/9 - "Explore Singapore with KC" program, lol? Explored almost the whole of the East side of Singapore on this day, with some anger in me at the end as I only got to see the buttocks of the SIA A380. >.<

5/9 - Waited for 50 mins for a "VIP" at the bus stop. Lin and nat withdrew from Chiangmai trip due to political unrest in Bangkok..

10/9 Set off to Chiangmai! MI702, Silkair.

11/9 - Second faint...

23/9 - Back to Singapore with lots of wonderful memories.

October 08

12/10 - CK birthday celebration. The very first group 3 outing that the WHOLE group is present!

13/10 - First day of school for Sem 2. Initially I thought there's a great barrier between us for the first 2 or 3 days, but fortunately it's just my own mentality. :D

16/10 - Almost got knocked down by a car - brush across the god of death

20/10 - Pam's birthday celebration. My Sony Ericsson K850I broke down on this day. :(

31/10 - Halloween event at ACM with group 3. 1 hour journey home from JE MRT because KC and myself missed the last train.

November 08

4/11 - The day which I was darn emo and quiet. I did not really speak much.

7/11 - PX birthday celebration. She treated the entire 1L02 to Pizza Hut! In the evening, visited Newton FC for the first time with KC and CK.

12/11 - Changed phones to Samsung F480. Watched High School Musical 3.

20/11 - Officially fell in love with Shepherd's Pie, haha. It tastes darn nice, I remember the taste up till today. :)

19/11 and 21/11 - RED Camp! Both days, my groups won the prize, movie tickets. :)

22/11 - Nian Yue moves into my house.

24/11 to 28/11 - Week of emo-tism.

Went for the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon as a helper with KC, CK, PX and Erwin. 2 of CK's friends tagged along - Priscilla and Chee Kit, which also has the initials CK.. Had some confusions when I said the name CK, lol. ZR went too, but he was with his other friends and a different section from us.

Reached the place at 11pm+ when they said the reporting time is 2am. We were not able to register, that's why we went to some place to slack - I forgot where we went, actually. However, there's a 7-Eleven nearby and therefore we went there to buy some stuffs. I bought a can of Redbull Energy Drink to last me the day, but it didn't help much. Finally, went at 2am to register. It's a long queue for those who manually register! Got our shirts but we did not know where to go, therefore we went to change into the official T-Shirt and managed to be posted into sector D3. I found out peeps from group 3 are very destined to be with the number 3. Group 3, BBQ pit 3, Sector D3, lol!

Everything got settled and we boarded the shuttle bus to ECP, our duty area. At last, reached carpark B3 and got our duty spots. All of us couldn't see each other, only PX and myself were able to see each other - We were only like 50m away? LOL! Therefore, met at the midpoint and sat down to have a talk all the way from 4am+ till 7am. Actually I don't know how we managed to chat so long, haha! Saw the first runner running past at 7am. They are fast man! At least first 10 runners are blacks.. They are real good at running..

One runner I'd like to specially mention - He's only got an arm but he's one of the very first to run past me. I remember his tag number - it's 24310. Good job Mr. 24310! You'll be an example for the handicapped. :)

Our legs were tired about an hour into the duty and we finally got to take a rest at 8.45am when we sms-ed the leader if we can take a break. The break actually meant a forever break, LOL! Rested till 9am, but we were slacky and didn't want to go back to work and decided to rest and rest till forever.. Now for a funny story.. PX actually slept while holding the flag! She even told me a runner laughed at her, lol. An hour into our break, I decided to go and look for Priscilla. She's still standing there like a statue holing the flag, lol. Made telephone contact with KC in the midst of our duty.. In total, I made 12 calls to him, pro eh? =.= The most calls I ever made to a person in like.. 5 hours? Lucky you. =X

Our duty ended at about 12pm, got our pay and went to Novena Square. Walked around for a bit and finally reached home at 4pm. Surprisingly, I had a very quick shower and went to sleep. About 7pm, Nian asked if I want to go for dinner. I didn't want and told him to da bao for me. Slept all the way till 5am and found his sms - Saying my duck rice is still with him? However, found out that it's on my table. Finally, woke up at 9.20am and checked my duck rice. It has a foul smell... It's spoilt!! >.< Ah.. It's a waste of food - I feel sinful man. :l

Lin and nat came over to study again, however I did not even study, LOL! Fun... :)

We cannot tell the precise moment when friendship is formed. As in a vessel, drop by drop, which makes it run over; as in a series of kindnesses there is at last one which makes the heart run over. -James Boswell
