Nothing much to say

Today leaves me with nothing to say, but a dream left a great impression in me. I dreamt that I went back to Guangzhou (with Singapore Airlines, lol) again and I saw my nephew. The feeling was so real! Makes me really feel that I'm back in Guangzhou. I certainly miss things there, should have gone there longer. Well, looking forward to a 1 month stay in China someday.. :D I mean, in Guangzhou, not Wuhan.

Ticket price from Singapore to Guangzhou was $843, slightly expensive. However, the excellent service of SIA crew was worth paying the extra. I admit, I was more excited about the flight than the trip last time, but now if I'm going to Guangzhou again, I'll be more excited to meet my niece and nephews again. However, I'd still choose SIA. =p

My whole day was again spent piloting planes around the world. My skill has really improved, I don't burst tires, or it's a very low percentage of me bursting now. I could almost make a perfect landing. I've fallen in love with the Boeing 777, for no reason? Lol. My love for planes can be very random sometimes. Now, I shall make a list of flights I've been on, I really have nothing to do now. =p

9/11 happening to me.. AGAIN!

No, I'm not referring to the September 11 Attacks on the World Trade Center. I'm talking about the September 11 Attacks on me, myself and I. The date happened to be September 11 also. I was in Huay Zhong Bo, Chiangrai when I fainted. I still remember the feeling, it wasn't great.

Today, I cycled back from JP after my treatment. As I stepped into the lift, I felt nauseous. I thought it's nothing wrong, at most I'd just come back home and throw out. However when I reached my doorstep. I felt the fainting sensation. It was exactly what I felt when I was in HZB. I thought I was gonna faint at my doorstep, with no one around. It'd be very dangerous. What if no one comes for me after a very long time? Will I just pass on? I was determined not to faint. I held on tightly to my metal door, stayed still and waited for the sensation to fade by a little before carrying my bicycle in and quickly lying on my bed. Fortunately, the feeling was gone after 2 minutes.

However, I guess something is wrong with my body. Low blood sugar? I'm not very sure about this. What I can be sure is that my blood pressure is normal, I have no heart disease or whatsoever. Therefore, what is causing this? I don't know, seriously.

That's my tentative timetable for the semester. Sucks, have to face someone again. Another thing; All lessons start at 9am!!! There goes my sleep for the next semester. Well but on odd Mondays I can sleep later and go to school at 2pm! LOL! Some lecturers on my timetable are complete strangers to me, or I don't even know they exist.. Well, after school starts I will know that there's such a lecturer around, lol.

Time to buck up! Next goal: >3.2 GPA

A short write-up about my hometown in China, gotten from my nephew's QQ space. Enjoy!

"0661"

3 day summary

21 March, Saturday

Nothing much to talk about. Brought Erwin to my father's shop to buy his stuffs. My father insisted on giving him discount, he had no choice but to accept it, lol! Received an SMS from KC saying that we'll spend the night at East Coast Park for our upcoming event, AVIVA Ironman Triathlon. I was practically stunned, no preparation for a taunt at all! But nevertheless, had to go for it as the meeting time was WAY too early.

Went out at 8.30pm and proceeded to Kallang MRT. Thanks to our route planner, we almost lost our way, as I was quite sure 401 did not go pass Kallang. He said that it goes through. Well, we finally settled down to take bus 31, but did not know where to alight. Fortunately, Erwin was our saviour. Walked around and found him at Marine Parade CC. Slacked at ECP Mac for the rest of the day. (about 11pm onwards)

22 March, Sunday

Day was welcomed in ECP Mac. Ate some stuffs and carried on chatting. I totally forgot what we talked about, just remembered the frequent laughters. Tired of slacking, we decided to walk around ECP. Found the spot we had for Standard Chartered Marathon last time. Another thing; I saw lots of planes! Was trying to make out the models. Guess I was correct for some of them? Hehe.

Walked to the other end, already tired by now, we went back to Mac again. At about 6am, we decided to walk to our meeting place. After a very long walk and search, found it! Got our shirts, breakfast & snack pack and walked to our stations. It's a long walk man! Was relieved to see our station.

The run started and I was amazed by the amount of rubbish. A funny thing happened. Erwin was passing out 100 plus and water as he was near both stations. He passed a cup of 100 plus to a runner which thought the cup of 100 plus was water and poured it on himself. We laughed hard at the volunteer stand! There were actually more runners who did that, but we were already immune to that. Now, I shall let the pictures do the talking!

We decided to cab home as we were really too tired. Therefore KC, CK, ZR and myself shared one home. Slept from 6pm onwards till 11.45pm when my father woke me up for dinner cum supper. I was so sleepy that I took 2 different chopsticks and assumed they were a pair. =.=

23 March, Monday

Feeling refreshed after a 16.5 hour sleep, I prepared for lin and nat's arrival. They came to cook! We cooked Shark's Fin soup today. Tastes great, I can say. Some very funny jokes happened too. I guess I shouldn't reveal them here. =p

I had this dream today. I dreamt that I went back to China again. Probably I miss there too much. Like what my nephew told me on QQ just now, 日有所思, 夜有所梦. However, I really wish I can go back there and stay for a month or so, but I guess I'll miss there even more.

I guess I feel better in China than in Singapore for some reasons? Sometimes feel like going back and stay for a long time, but I'm afraid kerosene and all kinds of slaughtering equipments will fly at me when I'm gonna leave. O.o Despite the never ending rumours of China businessmen using dirty tricks to make different kinds of stuffs, there's also a brighter side of China. I can't really say for other parts of China, but surely for the Guangdong Province, my homeland.

Still trying to adapt to life in Singapore currently, guess I'm more used to a pure-Chinese oriented environment, stress-free everyday?

Anyway, I went to visit my jie yesterday. Brought her the gifts I bought, hehe. Took some shots of RiRi again!

Also had my dinner there, prepared by my 干妈.

Plus! Some random shots. :D

My jie has grown fatter!

Artistic view..

Nice view?

This candy is nice!

Don't smile also cute hor? =p

Hong Kong Trip: Mama Mia!

Welcome to the exclusive Hong Kong food tour! This post will show the different kinds of food I ate in Hong Kong and some comments about them.

Fried Vegetables - Just the usual taste

Crab fried with Garlic - An unusual way of cooking crab, but crispy on the outside, juicy in the inside!

Pork Rib King - Not like the usual way of frying them here, it's deep fried in Hong Kong. A bit hard, but that's the natural characteristics of Pork Ribs

Sweet and Sour Pork - A more authentic taste

Roasted Goose - It's very oily, but the taste is nice. Recommended to eat it with the sauce to make the taste less fattening

Tofu Skin Wrap - A not commonly found dim sum in Singapore, consists of hotdog, chicken and potato, not sure if there are other ingredients in it

Glutinous Rice Chicken - Also known as Lo Mai Kai, it's not the usual where we get it out from a small metal bowl, it's freshly made!

Fried Vegetables - This kind of vegetable is not found in Singapore, I've forgotten the name, but the taste is surely great! It comes in a big stalk, the way of eating is to bite the stalk away and the rest of the leaves will separate

Claypot Rice with Mushroom and Chicken - They just put light soya sauce in the rice, makes the rice taste plain and the chicken seems meatless. Recommended to go to the Chinatown stall instead

Roasted Pork - Crispy skin, taste is good

Char Siew - Not like in Singapore, their Char Siew has some strands of fats to make it taste better. The taste is surely more tender!

Unknown dish - Tastes like Goreng Pisang but inside it is like custard

Fried Eggs - Tastes like the egg you get in McDonald's Big Breakfast. Well done, nothing to complain about

Fried Tofu - Plain taste, tofu seems like it's not marinated at all. No effort was made in preparing the dish

Lemon Chicken - Skin soggy, but tender meat

Pork Rib King - Taste better than the previous one, but the meat is slightly tougher

Hong Kong Trip: Summary

Finally, I'm back from being a "flying Singapore man". The trip was fun, time flies when you're overseas with friends. Since I do not blog everyday when I'm there, I shall try my best to recall everything.

Day 1

9V-JSD, our Jetstar Asia A320 parked nicely at gate C23 waiting for departure to Hong Kong Chap Lap Kok International Airport.

Now now, what's burning near the airport?

We took off from Runway 20C - bound for Hong Kong!

Baked Macaroni with Cheese, I bought this onboard for $8

Snack Pack, you can purchase this for $6

Singapore to Hong Kong version

It's a nighttime landing, we're now descending towards Hong Kong

Finally, we touched down after several bumps. It was a rough landing, certainly! The visibility made me estimate that we used a CAT II ILS approach. It was really foggy and the plane was shaky as we descend further down the glide slope.

This bus, A31, goes along the airport to city road, hence the name Airbus, which made me think of something else. =p

Looking funny after a long flight?

These 2 weirdos are surely....

First group photo!

Day 1 ended with a breeze. We also got our Ez-Link cards there. It has an interesting name, called the Octopus Pass. Our hotel rooms were 712 and 713. After much deliberation and discussion, HK and me shared room 712 while lin, nat and px shared room 713. Both were corner rooms, famous for "dirty stuffs", fortunately nothing happened to us during the period of time. Guess my amulet helped me a lot. =p

Day 2

We took the MRT to Admiralty MTR Station (yes, it's MTR and it has the same name as the Admiralty MRT Station in Singapore). It has lots of buses and trains connecting to different parts of Hong Kong.

A typical day-to-day life of Hong Kong Citizens boarding the MTR

Bus 629 operates a non-stop service from Admiralty to Ocean Park!

After a 25 minute bus ride, we finally reached Ocean Park. I was amazed by a nice scenery surrounding the park. Last time I went was 10 years ago, no impression at all, other than the presence of a Cable Car?

Entrance to Ocean Park. We meet again!

Now, this is a loooooooooooong escalator... They call it the 爬山电梯

The legendary Mine Ride which is bound to let you scream your lungs out!

We walked around planning what to play. After some discussion, we decided to go onto the Observation Tower.

Something caught our eye: The Pirate Ship. I always have the negative G force feeling + acrophobia when riding on it, but nonetheless, it's always fun riding on it! We went on the ship twice: Once in the middle seat and once at the second last row. However, the feeling was not scared, it was excitement!

After that we decided to go onto the Flying Dragon coaster. It has 3 inversions in total. Since I'm always afraid of inversions, I opted not to go on. However, they kept encouraging me to go. Finally, I went on. It wasn't as scary as I thought, and it's fun! The girls have their childhood back again, we played those games stalls which lets you win soft toys. Each game costs HKD 50, which is about S$10. What do guys do then? We paid for them. =.= But however, we also played in the games and won some soft toys.

Another thing caught their eye: The soft toy shop. The waiting was.. Argh, but I managed to buy some souvenirs for friends.

We decided to protect our environment!

We had the chance to view the different species of jellyfishes. It's really amazing to see them! Some of them glow very nicely in the dark, some are enormous, some are real tiny.

We also had to chance to witness... Madagascar 2 Live!

This is the plane that "crash landed" in the movie!

Animal greetings!

Female hippo vs male human

What are these 2 shorties trying to do in Africa?

We hijacked the jeep!

We saw some clowns and decided to take a picture with them!

Cute pandas!

Day 3

The day started off with a breakfast at a restaurant atop of a hill. I don't really know where is the place, but the food is definitely delicious! HK's Auntie, Grace was our "tour guide".

Next stop, we proceeded to Stanley, a place where the scenery is really great! I shall just let the photos do the talking.

The residents of this area has been rumoured to have cancer!

Hi, bye! *his usual stupid face*

Smile! You're on Daniel Camera!

We went to the Peak Tram next. It has a very steep angle of climb, as much as 45 deg. I can't use words to describe how's the feeling like, look out for the videos I'm gonna post!

The group of us discovered another thing: Hand Wax! All the 5 of us decided to make our very own wax. We told lin and nat to do a couple one instead.. =p

The night scenery is really beautiful at the top of the peak. However, the wind was strong too! My hands turned cold minutes after stepping into the observatory tower.

Took the electric tram to have our dinner cum supper at a Claypot Rice shop. I still find the Claypot Rice at Chinatown tastes better than the one I had!

Day 4

Walked around 女人街 with the girls today. Also managed to get some of my airplane models! The street is really long with lots of stalls, sort of like a Thailand market? Went to a pub to have our drinks after that, first time going to a pub!

A showcase of our cocktails!

Tranquila Sunrise - Order by me. It has a unique taste that not everybody can take it. I guess only lin and myself was able to take the taste, not the 2 girls. =p

Cosmopolitian - Order by lin, but got exchanged with nat.

Blue Sky - Order by lin. Same case as above. This taste is unique too. =p

Dancing Lady - Ordered by PX. We were asking her if she would really dance like a dancing lady after drinking that! *plays

Day 5

We were rotting like no tomorrow for the top part of the day - Decided to go to the arcade near our hotel. It's cheap playing the arcade here, only HKD 1 for a token, that's like S$0.20! PX and myself stoned for a while at the machine where we played our spot the different game. Joined the other 3 of them at the monopoly machine next.

PX and myself paired up to play the monopoly game. Our teamwork was great! Hit the super jackpot once and another one was we managed to win 1269 medals. Ah, I don't really know how to explain the game, just know that we won. =p

Went to 青衣 for dinner. It was our treat today to thank HK's relatives for their care all these days.

Last group photo, hope we meet again someday!

Day 6

We woke up at 7am today to prepare for our trip back to Singapore. Rushed for a bit to board the plane as we almost missed the boarding time, but we discovered that we rushed for nothing, there was a long queue for the boarding. We had to take a train to our boarding gate and transfer to a bus to board the plane. It's troublesome isn't it? However, it's a whole new experience. =p

On the bus, I managed to capture some rare shots of planes. The plane are just normal, but why rare? The angle! Have a look at the photos - I've never gotten so close to planes I'm not boarding before!

Shots of a Dragonair A320

Wide-angle wing shot of a Cathay Pacific Boeing 777 + tail shot

We finally see our plane!

Boarded the plane and the plane was prepared for takeoff. There was a slight delay, but the flight was uneventful.

Read the safety information card!

This is how a Jetstar Asia A320 cabin looks like

Hong Kong to Singapore version

Meal onboard 3K 692 HKG-SIN. Baked Rice with Curry Chicken: $8

PX was hungry so we bought a sandwich to share. Turkey Ham Sandwich: $8

The cute keychain I bought!

Beautiful clouds while descending...

We're now on finals!

The landing in Changi wasn't really smooth. Here's a video!

Upon arrival in Changi, I fished out my camera to capture more shots of planes.

This is how the seat looks like in the plane! It's comfortable, but legroom is small

Overall, the overseas trips I went was great and memorable. Hope I can go overseas again soon, to further places!
