School started today. FPD lab in the morning and I came back home as I was too tired to continue. Ahh, that means missing HI! Club for today...

Journey to the East

Went to Tampines 1 with jie today. This mall is quite nice, but sort of small. Lots of shop that is not found elsewhere in Singapore. Jie was particularly attracted to the Japanese and Korean snack shops. Bought this Doraemon soft candy at the Japanese shop, only $1.20. :D Other stuffs were expensive though.

Headed on to the airport after that. We had a hard time looking for Bus 27 before knowing that it's actually outside the interchange! Waited for about 10 minutes before the bus came. Upon reaching the airport, we had our dinner at Popeyes. The queue was long. Fortunately I was msn-ing on my iPod, LOL!

Went to all the 3 terminals at the airport today. Went to T1 and shot the photos of the aircrafts. I don't know why is that SIA plane in T1! Maybe someone can tell me? :l Next went to T3, the gallery isn't considered one at all at night, I can't see a thing! However, managed to capture a view of an SIA A380-800.

T2's viewing gallery was closed. Oww.. It has a better view than T1... Anyway, it was still a great trip to the airport today!

Pinnacle @ NP

My earliest waking up in my entire poly life: 5.25am! Reached Sunset Way at 6.25am and waited, and waited, and waited all the way till 7.15am and finally our sector IC showed up. We were being led to our respective sectors. Kai Chung, Erwin, Zhong Rong and myself were being assigned to be the Bike Deposit Crew. I was the sector IC for my section too, although I guess there's also nothing much to do. Chin Kuang was assigned to another part which he needed to emo, lol.

The runners started coming in at 9.30am or so. Fortunately, it wasn't a very busy race and we had lots of time to slack. All we had to do was just sign their passports and record their timings. Mediacorp crew came shortly after. Zhong Rong and myself were surprisingly caught on their camera as calefare since we were the checkpoint masters, lol! I was a little blur and blurted out an extra sentence. Hope they can sensor out the sound.

Some screwed up parts. There was no shirt size or L or XL! Don't tell me they expect me to wear M? Furthermore, there's this *!@&(#&(! woman that is complaining like a b**ch to us about the bicycles being parked on the pavement. We're already removing them as fast as we could, what more do you expect? If you think you're so good, remove them yourself!

Went to Queensway after that. Bought my iPod leather case and screen protector. The shop owner is real great! I might even consider doing my custom made SIA laptop skin with him. My iPod touch has scratches on it already! Ouch, it's not even 24 hours old when I discovered it. Hope it doesn't get worst....

iPod Touch

I officially bought my iPod touch today. Went to Cathay Cineleisure with Kai Chung, Chin Kuang, Zhong Rong and Erwin to get it but they don't have any stock, only with the 32gb left! Of course I wouldn't buy it, it costs a tad $200 more! Therefore we went to EpicCenter @ Wheelock Place to see if there is any stock. Woots, there's stock! Happily paid $363 for my iPod touch (first Apple product in my life!) and off we go.

Went to the new Orchard Central Shopping Mall to have a look. Erwin says it looks like an airport. Lol. There's this particular escalator which links the 4th to the 7th floor. Seems like a "slow motion plane takeoff"! Anyway, the corridor for L2 and L3 are named "The Runway". Whenever I walk, I'd be saying V1, rotate. Positive rate of climb, gear up. Autopilot engaged. Ahh, makes me want to play flight sim, lol!

Next stop was Far East Plaza. Erwin and Kai Chung wanted to see their "scenery" and therefore we went. Nothing to see, but we saw Nicholas there. Finally after 2 hours of walking around, embarked on our journey home. Had dinner at the 651 coffeeshop. After not even 2 hours of eating, I'm now hungry again! Is my metabolism rate so high? =.=

My favourite show on Channel 8 currently. The show goes like this. There will be 8 participants from 8 different countries (for episodes 1 to 4, the countries are Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Isreal, Romania, Scotland, USA and Brazil) and they will discuss about the interesting encounters they had in Singapore and the differences in culture in Singapore and their own country.

Episode 1 to 4 was full of laughter as they all have funny accent for their Chinese. Therefore, I'm always looking forward to the next episode, whcih MOBTV usually upload by noon the next day. However this January due to some license changes, the shows are promised to be uploaded within 3 working days with the best effort.

Why am I making a fuss out of it? MOBTV is owned by Mediacorp. Why is there a need to obtain the license, and in such a long period of time? I've been waiting for my show since last morning and is getting impatient. I've even dreamt about it and jumped up at 5.30am thinking that it has been uploaded. Up till now, they show hasn't been uploaded. I'm getting more and more impatient and doubt I have any patience to wait till tomorrow. Just when will it be uploaded? Hope it will be uploaded soon and the license issue gets settled ASAP.

Fun

Lin and nat came over today. Fried rice was our lunch. Apparently it screwed up a little, lol. Slacked around and I decided to eat Sakura cause of some urge. So as planned, we went to have Sakura. Before going, something dam funny happened. They were playing with each other and in the chaos nat's water bottle cap came off and the water spilled all over my bed! However nat is even more suay, her shorts kena. Lol.

I'm getting more and more impatient in MOBTV now. Paying a higher price yet a slower uploading service. I only had to wait for noon by the next working day for my stuff to be uploaded last time, now I have to wait for at least 3 working days!

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen

Went to school for the briefing of Pinnacle @ NP. Lasted for about an hour. When the briefing just started, got an sms from Ah See saying that he has 4 free tickets for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Therefore, we decided to watch. However, we had 5 people, luckily there was 2 more tickets. Lol.

We had 2 rows: C and K. At first I thought K was at the back so I decided to take K together with KC while CK, ZR and Erwin took C. Argh, K is at the front. =.= Fortunately my neck did not hurt. The movie was nice. Graphical effects were brilliant, best part was the aeroplanes, especially the part with the Air France Concorde! LOL! I was excited when I heard V1, rotate. =X Probably occupational disease 职业病?

Feeling much better now. =) Although still sort of irritated, frustrated and such.

Lunar Birthday

Sometimes it's not worth giving out so much at the start but getting back so little. I just feel very very irritated. For those of you who are thinking it's about relationship, you are wrong. Sometimes I wonder why is it irritating me so much. Was it the right choice to become good friends? Sometimes I don't believe in friendship anymore..

Went to eat Sakura International Buffet yesterday. It changed a bit since the last time I went. There's this nyonya corner, probably still catching up on The Little Nyonya fever. I was totally full after that. It's like to the brim, anything more and I'll become a Merlion!

Today stayed at home for the whole day. Fell in love with my Wilco Publishing Airbus Series 1 & 2. Did some flights around the Oceania area and a single flight from Singapore-Bangkok, all on Airbus! I'm not a lifeless person staying in my virtual cockpit all the while. Watched 4 cartoon movies today. They are:

All of them are nice. Some are touching, some are hilarious. Some is a combination of both. GREAT! Both are my favourite cartoons since childhood. :D

I had a strange dream today! This is how it goes..

I was travelling in a Cathay Pacific Boeing 747-400 in some unknown airport. It came to a stop at the gate. Some guy outside was taking a bazooka and aiming at me. In 3 seconds he shot. My "last words" were oh my god before I "died". (I didn't know I can be so "relaxed" at the brink of death) Being "officially dead", I wandered around in my soul and a funny thing happened. I could actually still interact with the human world. All I had to do was poke my index finger onto a wall or a human and I will become visible to humans (souls are invisible!!).

Strange dream, ain't it? Just last week I dreamt that I died and came back alive, now this dream. Is this gonna tell me something? Maybe.. I'll die soon? :S Even if I gonna die I want to travel in SIA First Class!

A day out

Went to several places with KC, CK, Erwin and Fran today. First we went to AMK Hub which CK and Erwin wanted to buy their FBT. Dots, it's just in Fairprice. KC started doing a stupid thing, he took the woman's FBT and put it onto my head. Eh, I'm not 蜡笔小新! I'll kill you if I get any bad luck. Blehs, started to get playful in the supermarket, lol.

Next went to this cafe to have our afternoon tea. Had this baked potato which was on TV several months ago. No wonder it went on TV, it tastes great! However, I think I can make one as good as it. =p Entertained ourselves with some jokes and such for about an hour or so before proceeding to Orchard to do some "window shopping".

Walked around in Far East Plaza in circles and finally decided to proceed on to Cathay Cineleisure. Went into the Apple shop wanting to have a look at the iPod touch. However, the iPod touch is out of battery. Wth. =.= Sat in the shop listening to the music the DJ is mixing. I really don't get how they use the turntables.. Lol. Fran went off first for her training. The 4 of us stayed in the shop for another half an hour or so before proceeding home. CK and Erwin went to take the bus while KC and myself took the MRT. Being curious, we decided to try out the Circle Line MRT.

This particular MRT is cute! It only has 3 cabins and it's fully automated, meaning there are no drivers. Took from Bishan all the way to Bartley. We went through stations like Lorong Chuan and Serangoon. Took a small break at Bartley before taking the train back to Serangoon and continuing our journey back to Pioneer MRT. I really love the Circle Line, it's so new and cute! Lol. Well, only happens to new stuffs, guess I'll get tired of it in a few months or years.. Like the NEL? Lol.

P.S. Something is bothering me, but I don't know what. Maybe it's that feeling that is leaving me lonely.. or something else?

A day in

Should be going to Marina Square today but totally don't feel like going out. CK came over at 3pm, lol. Headed to Giant to buy some stuffs as I felt like cooking my mushrooms again. Bought all the stuffs and came back home only to realise something; I forgot to buy minced meat! Went out to buy again. Lol.

The mushrooms today was just perfect! Haha, I'm starting to fall in love with myself =X. Jkjk. Some funny stuffs happened today too but I just can't remember.. x.x He went off at 9pm.

3 day summary

Saturday

Nothing went on in the day. Went to CY's house to play GTA in the evening. stayed overnight. Totally addicted to it. Love the driving part!

Sunday

Watched Air Crash Investigations on Lokerbie Disaster (Pam Am Flight 103). Ordered Mac too as we were too hungry. Next, watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on Blu-Ray. Had nothing to do next, theefore we watched It's a Small World (国记交意所) hosted by Mark Lee. After the first episode, I switched to the second episode to let him watch and I went to take a nap, the time was about 7am. Woke up at 10am for breakfast. Beehoon, but was too oily, lol.

At 4pm, decided to go home. Played computer until 6pm and decided to take a nap.

Monday

I was shocked to find that I actually slept throughout the whole night! Woke up at 5.28am and talked on the phone with my jie. Played the computer till.. Now? =p

Warehouse

Went to Warehouse visit today. Day started with a briefing in school, break then off to site visiting! I'm the only guy in 2L02 that went. =.= First we visited Crown Equipments. Seen how some machines work and such. It was very hot as it was outdoors and the sun is shining high up. But hey, I love the sun. =p

Next went to Teck Wah Logistics. We were caught by this unique sculpture that's at the entrance so we decided to take a photo with it. I rested my hand on the plaque before it and PIAK! The whole plaque came off. Ironically, the sculpture is named Built to Last. Seems like the plaque is defying it! Went up to the conference room for a talk. But before the talk, we were treated to some refreshments like soon kueh, spring roll and curry puff. They were all very nice, ate quite a lot, lol. I'll never say no to free food thats tasty!

Next went to walk around their plant. The premise is big! It's like a maze and you have to key in the codes for the door for practically every department. There's this guy who fell down when we were viewing the first department and he was darn paiseh when he walked pass us. LOL. Went to the other departments like Reverse Logistics and Order Picking.

In conclusion, the visit today is really an eye opener for me. Fortunately I did not stay home to play flight sim. =p Once again, photos are on Facebook!

4e5 gathering! Went to Mrs Wong's place to gather, rented the karaoke lounge. Sat down in a circle to discuss our current lives and our courses, studies, personal life.. She treated us to KFC! She also did that when we went to her house to 拜年 last time.. Muahahaha. Fortunately she still recognises us!

Sat around to chit chat and played Blackjack followed by Dai Di. Photos are on Facebook!

Was sick for the whole day today so I decided not to go to Jurong Point to have the buffet, lol. Called CY to come over instead. He switched on his laptop and I saw Grand Theft Auto IV which got me addicted to it. How? The driving part. Lol. I totally hate the part to kill people.

Bah, I really hate getting sick. Sneezed for the whole day until I think my nose is about to drop off. Funny thing is, I switched on my aircon and everything went alright.... Lol.

Went back to school to settle some Wuhan stuffs. Reached school at about 2pm and went to the office. Rewrote my visa form and filled in another form for the visa. Lunched at Makan Place after that. Gawd, I just love Kaki Fuyong with extra chicken, although it's fattening. Lol. The chawanmushi is great too!

Went to play pool followed by dinner at KFC. As we did not want to go home so early, we went to the LAN shop and played Left 4 Dead. The map was great, I loved the airport! Alright, although it's abandoned. Metro International Airport was the name. Finally reached home and played flight sim. MD-11 is crazy. Took off and when I was about to reach cruising altitude 2 engines out of 3 failed. Luckily, I managed to make a safe landing, but with a price of 15m. Ouch. =(

17 bodies from Air France jet recovered

17 bodies has been recovered from the crashed Air France jet which went down into the Atlantic last week. Due to the bad conditions of the body, the sex could not be determined. Dozens of debris of the plane was also found. Brazilian and French continues to search the crash zone 700km northeast of Brazil for bodies and wreckage. Submarines are also expected to arrive to search for the black box from AF447 which is believed to have sunk deep into the Atlantic.

The first ship should head to the scene by 10 June carrying equipments that can track things that emit a sound up to 6km deep in the water. Officials have said that they have no hope of finding survivors from the plane. This disaster is the worst in Air France's 75 year history.

No distress call was from the plane before it disappeared. Investigators are trying to find out why it crashed. Preliminary hypothesis are that the plane might have stalled due to low speed or too fast and causing it to break apart when it reaches the speed of sound, at Mach 1.0.

Five bodies from missing Air France jet found

Five bodies have been recovered from the Atlantic Ocean and they were confirmed to be passengers on Air France Flight 447. The first two bodies were recovered on Saturday. Along with the bodies was a leather bag which contained a boarding pass for AF447. It has been confirmed by Air France that it was the ticket for the crashed jet. Furthermore, airplane seats carrying Air France's logo has been found floating among the debris about 1100km off Brazil's northeast coast.

Three more bodies were discovered on Sunday. The sex could not be determined due to the long exposure to air which lead them in a bad condition. Other bodies are being spotted by the ship and should be recovered within a few hours. The bodies are to be flown to a morgue in Recife where the search operation will be coordinated.

Wreckage of missing Air France jet not found

Despite finding wreckage which were thought to be from Air France Flight 447, those were just some sea wreck from a ship, said the director of Brazilian Air Traffic Control. On June 2, sleeks of oil and debris such as airplane seats were found near the crash site of AF447. The debris was confirmed to be that of AF447, but today a new report has stated that it is just the wreck of a ship, or similar. Up till now, no wreckage of the Air France jet has been found.

Further probing into the crash, it has been found out from the ACARS message sent out by the plane before the crash that there has been inconsistent readings about the airspeed moments before the crash. This may indicate that the plane is not flying at the correct airspeed to combat bad weather. The missing of the jet remains a mystery till now as no debris has been found.

Adding on, Airbus has sent a notice to all Airbus pilots around the world about what to do when their airspeed indicators gives conflicting readouts.

I overslept today, 9am lessons and I woke up at 9.20am, lol. Rushed to school in a cab and quickly done with the presentation and went off to study for M&C. It's a killer studying for it! Had the test but I really couldn't get anything out of my brain. I was the first to leave for the test. I saw some people looking at me like.. O.o

Went for the M&C practical after that. We were doing on the auto collimator today. As I had a good eyesight, I was told to callibrate it. Argh, it really hurts my eye seeing that. =.= Done other experiments such as the rotary table and angle dekkor. I'd be really happy if I can get 25/100 for my M&C. =.=

巧合

The wreckage of AF447 has finally been found, 228 people confirmed dead. However, the reason for the downing of the plane is not found yet. I really have to agree with something pointed out by my friend; Air France always have the first crashes in the 21st century.

This is the very first crash of a Concorde which shocked the whole world. While on the takeoff run, the left fuel tank burst into fire as the tyres struck a metal piece which dropped from a Continental Airlines DC-10 which just tookoff from the same runway minutes earlier. The tyre fragments punctured the fuel tank which caused it to burst into fire.

Today was a short day for lessons. SMKT test in the morning was enough to kill my brain cells, followed by FPD tutorial which I did not listen at all and the SMKT consultation which no one actually asked any questions. Had an early dismissal at about 1.34pm. Went to Pines Cafe for lunch and finally got to eat my Black Pepper Beef Rice Set. Been wanting to eat it for 2 days now. Lol.

Crash of Air France Flight 447 confirmed

Wreckage of the missing Airbus 2 days ago have been found and confirmed that it is from the missing airliner. With 228 presumed dead, this will be the deadliest disaster for Air France, deadliest of any aviation in Latin America and the deadliest in a decade.

Hopes lost for missing French airliner

It is most likely that the lost French airliner, the Airbus A330-203 operating as AF447 has plunged and sunk deep into the Atlantic ocean. The 228 passengers and crew onboard the flight span from over 32 countries from different continents of the world. If all onboard were to perish, this would be the worst aviation disaster in a decade.

The French airliner went missing at 0214GMT yesterday after dozens of automated messages indicating that the plane is in trouble was sent by ACARS. On 2 June, Brazilian Air Force announced that they have discovered a small amount of debris 720km northeast of the Fernando de Noronha Island. The debris consisted of plane seats, jet fuel and metallic material. However, a spokesman of the Brazilian Air Force mentioned that there will be no way of confirming if the debris was really from AF447 unless a part with a serial number is found.

BREAKING NEWS!!

An Air France A330-200, registered F-GZCP and operating as AF447, has gone missing from the radar. Last contact established with the aircraft was at 0214GMT, where an automated message was sent saying that it has gone through severe turbulence and electrical systems are lost. It was due to arrive in Paris at 0915GMT, but it never arrived.

The Brazilian Air Force has sent rescue teams to search for the lost plane in the Azores. According to Aviation Experts, the plane should be out of fuel now. Air France has claimed that the aircraft has most likely crashed and there will be no hope of survivors.

Today isn't really my best day. Firstly, my 100 plus got poured away by my mum. Roar, I was darn angry about it. Not some usual 100 plus, but the syrup!

Secondly, I was taking the lift up from block 50 level 1 to level 6. A group of girls entered too and left at level 2. As the lift ascended up to level 4, it suddenly stopped and the fire alarm rang. I was like... O.o? Not really scared but panicked a little. What do you expect? I was alone in the lift! Climbed the stairs up to level 6 and well.. Started lessons. Lol.
