Doraemon; 多拉A梦

An introduction to my favourite cartoon character: Doraemon. Can you believe that Doraemon is already 40 years old? He was officially born in 1969. Here's a little biodata about him:

Why the blue colour?
His colour was originally yellow and with ears. However, his ears got bitten off by a mouse and he sank into a deep depression. Furthermore, he drank a potion named sadness which made his voice turn and his colour turned blue as he wept.

Other Characters

Nobita Nobi
Main character of the story. He's a fourth grader (Primary 4) and an only child. He has deep myopia. His flaws? Endless. Lazy, uncoordinated, dim-witted, frail, plain-looking, unlucky and bad at sports. He is famous for arriving late for class and scoring zeros for exams. However, there are some moments that he is smart. For example, he would find ways to hide his zero mark exam paper so that his mum wouldn't find it, mostly with the help of Doraemon's gadgets. Despite his laziness, he is a brave kid who lends a helping hand to those in need.



Shizuka Minamoto
She is a smart, kind and pretty girl in the neighbourhood and Nobita was attracted to her by this. She is a clean freak and takes several baths a day, however Nobita is a frequent interrupter of her baths due to misuse of Doraemon's gadgets. She takes her piano lessons unwillingly but she uses it as an excuse for not hanging out with Nobita. She loves playing the violin, but it turns out to be as atrocious as Gian's singing. Due to Doraemon's intervention, she will be Nobita's wife in the future.



Takeshi Goda
Better known by the nickname Gian, which comes from the English word Giant for he is a big, strong and hot-tempered bully. Despite having a terrible voice, he loves singing. Being a big bully, he frequently "borrow" kids' toys and uses them forever. However, he is a friend who is helpful and he does not mind helping Nobita and friends. He is not afraid of anyone; except his mother.




Suneo Honekawa
He is a rich kid with a fox face inherited from his mother who loves to flaunt his material wealth in front of his friends. He is often with Gian and being his lackey to bully Nobita together. Sometimes, he is seen showing off his new toy or video game that attracted Nobita's interest. However, he is smart and has an extensive knowledge in Science, design and arts. Being vex, he always stares at the mirror and telling himself that he's the most handsome guy in the world. Despite his age, he's a bed wetter and needs to wear diapers when he sleeps. Being the shortest guy in class, he is self conscious about his height.
