Hi Club Closing Ceremony | Singapore Airshow

5th February 2010

This is the day I've been waiting for very long! It's the official day for our HI! Club Closing Ceremony! Class 2F, here I come! Our song? It's My Life - Bon Jovi.

In the afternoon, went to play pool before heading to LT26 for the ceremony. Our class performed first. Similar to last semester, I was nervous before going on the stage but I was very calm during the performance. I must say I really like our performance! Our instructors also gave us a Token of Appreciation each. The personalised notes are the best gifts a person can get!

The exterior - So different from last semester!

Opens up like a drawing block with personalised notes!

My certificate! Second from the club!

6th February 2010

The highlight of the day - Singapore Airshow 2010, the third largest aviation event in the world! Lots of planes are being displayed this year! Most of them are business jets which I will never get a chance to ride on. 2 civilian aircrafts are on display too; Boeing 737-800 from Garuda Indonesia and Airbus A330-200F from Airbus. After that, went to the exhibition centre to view the internal displays. What's inside? Various aviation related companies displaying their products.

Landed at a booth by the Singapore Airline Pilot Association. The name practically caught my eyes! They are selling Singapore Airlines plane models to raise funds for the needy children! I bought a Singapore Airlines Heritage Series 5 for only 70 SGD, on the website it costs 128SGD!

Another booth was by Lufthansa German Airlines. They are introducing their airport charts system in which all the world's airport charts are put into the computer and a flight plan can be programmed in it. Basically, it's an all-in-one system for pilots. I got an airport chart from them, showing all the detailed procedures in taxiing, takeoff and landing of aircrafts in Changi Airport! It can be used for real-world aviation, although it's stated for company use only.

Walked around the static displays once more and went to Suntec City for a walk. Had lunch at Jack's Place! It's darn nice! :D

Look at the amount of people!
