There was a little talk by the presenter and we followed on to a visit to the pets. Went into a cage which belongs to a dog named "Holly". I forgot it's breed, but its fur is very smooth to the touch, even smoother than spending $30 to rebond hair (from the looks, duh!). Nat visited another cage, but this time she was not very lucky. The dog tried running out from the gate, nat used her legs to block it (doing an inverted V shape, but don't think wrongly) but it was of no use, it ran out eventually. >.< I wanted to help her but when I took the first step the dog ran out, LOL!
After the visit, visited the airport with KC. (I know someone's gonna kill me when he reads this) Initial plan was to spend some time looking at aeroplanes at the airport while waiting for Howard to have our dinner at Windsor Hotel. Due to jam, the dinner was cancelled. Recalled some wonderful memories today: T1 Row 2 Check in counter, Bangkok, Jan 06 2008, TG404; T1 Row 4 Check In Counter, Kuala Lumpur, Jun 04 2008, 3K687; T2 Row 11 Check In Counter, Chiang Mai, Sept 10 2008, MI702.
Missing the dinner can be said as a blessing in disguise!
2 planes that made me very excited today. The first was 9V-SBA, the first A319 to be in service in Asia. But why so special? It's the plane that brought us back from Chiang Mai! Both of us were exhilarated when we saw it.
The next plane was.. Oh well, the A380! Now I've finally discovered a good point of the T3 viewing gallery; It gives you a nice view of Runway 20C to have a look at how jumbo jets take off and land. To my surprise, I saw SQ321 from London Heathrow Airport to Singapore on the arrivals list. According to my research, it should be an A380! Therefore, a very enthusiastic future pilot sat down at T3 viewing gallery to catch a view of the A380 landing. At about 7.02pm, our wait did not betray us.We saw the A380! Woots! That made up the troubling fact that I was unable to catch a view of the A380 on 3rd September, 2008 at T3 viewing gallery. I was "warned" not to be too excited or I'll be left alone, lol.
Since dinner was cancelled, had dinner at Popeyes and oh well, came home? :p
Since 2009 is approaching, I shall post my new year resolutions..
- Get weight to 80kg by February, 75kg by April, 70kg by June
- Fitter body
- Private Pilot's License (hopefully)
- MORE airplane models
- Ride on the A380
Ok.. That's my short list of resolutions, or shall I say, wishlist? Lol. :p
Success Rate of New Year's Resolutions
Recent research shows that while 52% of participants in a Resolution study were confident of success with their goals, only 12% actually achieved their goals. Men achieved their goal 22% more often when they engaged in goal setting, a system where small measurable goals are used (lose a pound a week, instead of saying "lose weight"), while women succeeded 10% more when they made their goals public and got support from their friends.
